The Lady Saints fought hard from the opening tip, jumping out to an early lead behind strong defensive energy and balanced scoring. Randall controlled the tempo in the first half, taking a 45–37 advantage into the break, and were able to hold on down the stretch despite a late push from Ozark Christian.
Several Lady Saints stepped up on the big stage. Alex Collins led the way with a team-high 15 points, while Tristyn Kirkes, Chrissa Gomez, and Nailiyah McLaurin each added 13 points. McLaurin was especially dominant inside, posting a double-double with 12 rebounds, anchoring Randall's effort on the glass as the Lady Saints outrebounded the nationally ranked visitors 44–35. Kirkes also knocked down three timely three-pointers, and Gomez facilitated the offense with four assists.
This statement win was also a testament to the leadership of Head Coach Garcia, whose preparation and poise guided the Lady Saints through key moments. Her emphasis on toughness, discipline, and belief showed as Randall executed the game plan and closed out one of the top teams in the nation.
With momentum on their side, the Lady Saints now turn their focus to the road ahead. The Lady Saints Basketball Team is currently in Pensacola, Florida, where they will compete in the Pensacola Christian Classic, playing on January 23rd and January 24th as they look to build off a signature victory.
