Saints Push Winning Streak To 10!

Moore, OK: They're not all shootouts.

The Randall Saints got their tenth consecutive win on Tuesday night, this time in gritty fashion. The Saints remain ranked number one in the NCCAA as they have put together a tremendous run here in the latter half of the season.

"These are the types of games that you talk about and get better from," head coach Berokoff said after the win. "You don't have your best shooting night … and you just have to dig deep and find a way to win."

The Saints shot 41% percent from the field in the first half, an unusual number for them. However, Berokoff gave his defense credit after forcing 15 turnovers. Although the Patriots shot a sturdy 46.9% from the field, the Saints were able to capitalize off their turnovers. After a slow first half for the Saints, the second half was a different story. The Saints caught fire and shot 55.6% from the field in the second half. At one point, they got their lead up to 17 points before Arlington struck back and brought it to just six. The Saints were able to finish strong and come out with the 90-82 victory.

Boog Lewis had a season-high 22 points; he also dished out eight assists. Brent Clark finished with 20 points, five steals, and four assists.

Malik Martin recorded his third double-double of the season, scoring 15 points and grabbing ten rebounds. Jordan Marshall was close to a double-double as well, with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Once again, the Saints keep the streak alive. Their next game will be against Arlington Baptist at Arlington on February 19th.
